Datefit's Hack for Your Healthiest Year EVER!

Now that February is here and the "new year, new me" hype is slowly fading, Datefit is here to help you back on track. Basically, we're going to tell you how to make 2018 your best year yet! For a lot of people, this is the time when the New Year's resolution motivation begins to fade... and that is OKAY!

Close your eyes and think about what you want your life to look like 12 months from now. Do you have your dream job? Have you reached your goal weight? Are you in love with the person of your dreams? Are you debt free? Now open your eyes and think,  is what I'm doing today, helping me become that person I want to be a year from now? If not... we will show you how to make it happen!

The secret is, to set monthly goals. This way, your goals are measurable and easy to keep track of. It takes 21 days to make a habit, imagine what change you can make in 30!

The first step is: Write your goals down. By writing them on paper, you are already setting the wheels in motion. You should also put this "Health Calender" somewhere where you will see it each and every day (ie. your refrigerator, background on your phone, etc). 

The next step is to go through each month and write ONE goal to focus on. Start small- such as: drink a gallon of water, eat a piece of fruit each day, cut out soda, the possibilities are endless! Just take it month by month choosing one think you could change to become the best version of you. Below is an example of a Monthly Health Calendar for 2018.


January: Get a gym membership and go 3x per week. 

February: Cut out soda/pop.

March: Drink 1 gallon of water per day.

April: Meal prep for the week each Sunday.

May: Meatless Monday's.

June: Keep a food journal.

July: Cut back on caffeine. 

August: Get 8 hours of sleep each night.

September: No fried food.

October: No eating out.

November: Eat 2 fruits & 2 vegetables every day. 

December: Quit smoking.


As a new habit begins each month, the previous habit will carry over. Soon enough these habits will become second nature and you'll be on your way to the healthiest year yet! From here, write down one goal for each month and hang it somewhere you will see it every day. You'll be surprised where you can be 12 months from now!
